Turn to the Sun for Power…

Its been a news for quite sometime that cellphones would actuali be built with a solar panel that would both power the device and charge its internal battery as well. Motorola is hoping on applying this technology and would be a good news for all of us if any of the cellphone companies could actually implement this.

First implementation of this technology might not come up quite well, but extra battery life, or anything that could charge up my battery on emergency situations when no charger is available.

Will Your Network Work on other Country?

For some of us, having a cellphone by your side is a necessity. Need to call someone here and there and get updated every minute of the day about some business progress or anything important. But what if, you need to travel on another country? Would your network enable you to receive those important calls?

Imagine the advantages of having a network that lets you do it. Some networks have this feature called ‘Roaming’ that gives you the capability of using the networks features as if your not on another country. Make or receive calls, and the likes.

Hopefully, this feature would be, in the near future, would just be a regular feature. Meaning, no special procedures just to receive calls even if you on another part of the globe.

Future Bluetooth Headset Design

As I was browsing some latest techonologies on cellphones, I found this article in Gizmodo featuring a design for bluetooth headset that may actually be implemented in the future. Every gadget seems to be getting smaller and smaller and as portable as it may be. The only problem is what design could give the best fit to all kinds of ears.

This Pillete concept Bluetooth headset is tiny. So tiny that it barely pokes out of your ear, making you look even crazier when you walk down the street and seem to be talking to yourself. While it doesn’t exist quite yet, it’s a look at where headset design will be headed.

Touchscreen or Keypad?

A lot of the latest cellphones that are out on the market are now offering touch screen technology. Is this really better than using keypads?

Both have certain advantages and disadvantages. I would say that touch screen could be more advantageous for easier user interface. This gives you easier navigation especially when using your cellphone to browse the web.

But keypads also have some advantages over touch screen technology. Especially on public places, its not safe showing your phone off to everyone. Someone might just grab it and run away. And having a touch screen technology won’t allow you to make text messages inside your pocket.

It is still a personal preference. It is not even a factor if all you do with your cellphone is make or receive calls. All you need is your hand, mouth, and ear.
