High-Speed Multimedia Phone Adds Mid-Tier Offering for Amp’d Mobile Members

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ — Amp’d Mobile and Motorola today announced the Motorola E816 Hollywood handset, a stylish mid-tier high-speed EV-DO (Evolution Data Optimized) clamshell for use on Amp’d Mobile’s broadband wireless service at the 2006 International Consumer Electronics Show. Amp’d Mobile, which launched nationwide in December, is the first fully integrated 3G mobile entertainment company for youth/young adults. Motorola Hollywood will be available in Q1 2006 at Ampd.com.

Motorola Hollywood features Amp’d Mobile’s proprietary user interface, built on BREW(R) 3.1, for quick and easy downloading* of music, videos, entertainment, 3D mobile gaming, and more. Key entertainment features of the handset include an MP3-quality music player with one-button, quick access to favorite tunes; a 1.3 megapixel camera with dedicated camera key, photo indicator and 4x digital zoom; MPEG-4 video and playback; and a 262,000-color display for the best viewing of all your entertainment.

Like all of Amp’d Mobile’s EV-DO handsets, Motorola Hollywood features dedicated Push-to-Talk* capabilities and the ability to “side load” media between the phone and computers via a USB port. Motorola Hollywood will ship with a 128MB expandable Transflash(TM) memory card with up to 1 GB expandable memory available as an upgrade.
