DoCoMo’s D880ss - You Know, For Old People
I think it is really great that cell phone manufacturers are trying to make units that would please my grandma. She is a very technology oriented person, and units like this would be really great for her.
Engadget with the details:
We’ve been following the wireless industry’s push into the seniors market for quite awhile now, and have just spotted a new big-buttoned, small-featured cellphone that will be joining the ranks of models from LG and Kyocera. Like these other elder-centric handsets, the NTT DoCoMo D880ss sports extra-large keys, a simplified display, and limited options, to make chatting as easy as possible. Instead of forcing the user to navigate through complex menus to dial a number, the D880ss features a slide-out tray with ten spaces for speed-dial entries to be penciled in.
