Samsung Allies with BMW
It seems the new trend is for a car maker and a cell phone maker to get together, and Samsung has gone for BMW. Or is it BMW that went for Samsung? Well, anyways, the details are from JoongAng Daily.
Samsung Electronics Co. is stepping up its image as a premium brand by forming an alliance with the German carmaker BMW. The nation’s largest consumer electronics maker said yesterday that it would place its SGH-i300 music phone with 3-gigabit hard disk drive into BWM’s series 5 models. The phone will be linked to BMW’s iDrive control interface, which offers driving information as well as entertainment.
Now if only I could afford a BMW 5 series.
