Sprint Nextel Offers Movie Service On Phones
Two days ago Sprint Nextel let the world know that they have teamed up with MSpot, a mobile media company, in providing streaming full length movies and other videos to Sprint PCS customers.
Similar to Verizon’s V CAST service, Sprint however gave no information on their network’s EV-DO 3G capabilities. For $6.95 US a month subscribers will have the ability to watch unlimited movie “chapters” which are short clips that are roughly five minutes in length. MSpot plans on offering movies from various categories, including: Comedy, Drama, Horror, Adventure, Westerns, Animated Features, and Movie Shorts.
The MSpot Movies service will also feature some old TV shows and concert events. MSpot has also said that they will be adding more content to the service on a weekly basis.
