Worlds Smallest Handset Announced

Samsung E888Samsung has announced the worlds smallest cell phone. The Samsung E888, weighs at 88 grams and most is only 3.4″ × 1.85″ × 0.9″ when closed. Now I know some might consider this a bit of a cheat as the phone need to be extended for full use, but since you will be able to recieve as well as dial calls (using phonebook) with the handset closed, I think it can lay claim to being the smallest cell phone currently being mass produced on the planet.

With its more than tiny exterior, one wonders how accurately dialling a number by using the keypad is going to be. Also, it is hard to be manly with a cell phone that looks like it can be crushed by a child’s hand.

The technical specifications have not been fully announced yet, but it is known that the phone will have a digital camera with a 1 megapixel resolution.

No launch dates have been announced as yet.
