A Few Moments With Nokia’s E70

If you are interested in the E70 from Nokia, then check out Mobile Burn’s article on the phone. Not only do they have a nice overview, they also have some great pictures of the machine.

Nokia’s E70 is one of the three new Eseries devices that the company has targeted at business enterprise users. Its design borrows heavily from the 6800, Nokia’s first handset with the flip-over QWERTY keyboard. Like the other handsets in the new Eseries, it supports SIP compliant VOIP over its WiFi connection.

As a messaging device, its support for a wide variety of push email based solutions will come in handy. Unlike the series 40 based 6800 and 6820, the E70 makes use of the much more flexible Series 60 user interface. On top of that, it also has a large, high resolution color display. The 352×416, 262k screen is perfect for dealing with email and simple web browsing.

In terms of size, the E70 felt to me much like the original 6800 in terms of keyboard size and overall bulk. It isn’t a huge device, at at about 127g in weight, it isn’t going to be a bother in your pocket or purse.
