Nokia N90 Review

Nokia N90For those of you that have been drooling over the Nokia 90 since it was first mentioned, Cool Tech Zone has a review of this twisting clamshell, and they did not seem too impressed.

Ever since we had heard about the Nokia N90, we were skeptical, but the substantially inflated price tag gave us some hope. In the end, however, we were somewhat disappointed, but not completely surprised by what we had tested in the form of N90. To reiterate our question from the introduction page, “…does it have what it takes to justify the bulkiness and the hefty price tag?” The answer to that is obviously a definitive no.

Although the images are well focused, the video is just about average, and obviously not as excelling as Nokia claims to be. With that said, please note that videos from a cell phone look incredibly detailed, but they serve no purpose in the end, as the quality just isn’t high enough for you to enjoy them on your computer or TV.

The user interface is sluggish, and unfortunately, this is increasingly becoming a problem with Nokia phones. Pick up any Sony Ericsson and you will find the interface to be responsive and sudden, plus the entire interface is a lot more polished. With the Nokia N90, the screen refresh is probably sluggish, so when you switch windows, it takes a fair bit of time to update the icons.
